Here are some recent pics of the sweetest and cutest beagle in the world! John and I are leaving for South Carolina tomorrow for Thanksgiving and while we're gone, Georgie will be staying at Happy Paws. We'll miss you Georgie!

I got my first pair of golashes a few weeks ago. They're really a neccesity for living in the city with no car when it rains...especially when it's raining during Georgie's walk time! I've had several opportunities to wear them in the last few weeks including today. With my black golashes and tan rain coat, I'm color coordinated with Georgie's fur!
I used some of John's old black and white T-shirts to crochet this bathroom rug last week. The jersey knit fabric is perfect for a bathroom rug...it's soft and cushy beneath bare feet...and of course it's a great place for a napping beagle!
Mid January was REALLY cold in New York...colder than Georgie and I are used to. I noticed all the other dogs in the nieghborhood wearing sweaters and coats and felt bad that I didn't have anything for Georgie to wear but her raincoat (which actually is pretty good when it's snowing). John and I did actually buy her a little coat, but when we brought it home, it didn't fit her round little belly. So, I decided to try crocheting her a sweater, something I've never made before, and surprisingly, it came out pretty cute!
I went to City Girl the other night (my favorite coffee shop in New York) with Georgie for coffee and a ginger cookie. Being the most charming and talented dog in the world, Georgie scored a small piece of cookie by winking at me, instead of the usual old tricks of other dogs like begging or rolling over.
This is Wrigley, Missy and Stephen's dog. He's dressed up as a king for Halloween because he's the king of the house!
And here is Georgie, our Regal Beagle, who is sporting her Democrat neck tie made by my step mom, Leslie. Georgie has proudly worn this all over the city as a reminder to all Democrats (and Republicans) to "Barack" the vote on election day. Okay, to be fair, "McCain" the vote, if that's your choice, but that just doesn't sound as catchy.
John surprised me the other night with one of my favorites...cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery.

This picture was taken yesterday. I started adding blue today and will finish with purple. John calls it the Frank Stella blanket.
Welcome to all things Cass-a-rific...cooking, crochet, beagles, and the people I love the most.
