Last night John and I decorated our first tree together as a married couple. We listened to holiday music and drank hot chocolate while we hung the ornaments. It was so much fun!

On my last trip to Texas, I made a special request to my mom that she make a couple of new tablecloths for John and me for our kitchen table. She was sweet enough to do it and made two of the cutest tablecloths ever. I've only photographed one so far, but I'll share the other one when I trade them out.
Part of my daily routine for the last several months has been to peel away my hat, scarf, coat, and gloves, hang them on the coat hooks in our hallway, and then hang my bag on this daffodil hook. I love this little hook. It once belonged to my grandmother, Mimi. She must have loved it too because it hung for years in her blue bathroom. Now it graces our peach hallway and is a daily reminder that Spring will soon be here, that the trees will soon be covered in tiny green buds and fresh little flowers will open in the sunlight.
1982. It had still been packed since my move from Texas, so it was nice to have it out on display again.
John gave me this awesome antique desk for Christmas which I love! I now have a workspace other than the kitchen table.
...and after I painted it white.
Welcome to all things Cass-a-rific...cooking, crochet, beagles, and the people I love the most.
