Our First Christmas Tree!

Last night John and I decorated our first tree together as a married couple. We listened to holiday music and drank hot chocolate while we hung the ornaments. It was so much fun!

2nd Homemade Tablecloth

Here is the second tablecloth that my mom made for me while I was down in Texas in July. I love this one just as much as the blue one. They are so different, yet they both look really good in our peach kitchen. Thanks Mom!

Georgie's Latest Pictures

Here are some of Georgie's latest pictures...

My regal beagle!

John was eating something on the bed and of course, Georgie wanted a taste!

Georgie looks sort of strange in this one, but I like it.

What a cutie!

Just about to fall asleep, but still keeping her eye on me!

Mom's Homemade Kitchen Tablecloth

On my last trip to Texas, I made a special request to my mom that she make a couple of new tablecloths for John and me for our kitchen table. She was sweet enough to do it and made two of the cutest tablecloths ever. I've only photographed one so far, but I'll share the other one when I trade them out.

I love the print of this tablecloth. It's a very simple blue honeycomb design and looks really pretty with our peach walls.

New Shelf in the Green Apple Room

My office space really came together recently when John and I got a beautiful white shelf for all my books and boxes of stuff. It looks so great in our green apple room and has transformed my work space to a more organized and functional space. I really love it!

Hooked on Spring

Part of my daily routine for the last several months has been to peel away my hat, scarf, coat, and gloves, hang them on the coat hooks in our hallway, and then hang my bag on this daffodil hook. I love this little hook. It once belonged to my grandmother, Mimi. She must have loved it too because it hung for years in her blue bathroom. Now it graces our peach hallway and is a daily reminder that Spring will soon be here, that the trees will soon be covered in tiny green buds and fresh little flowers will open in the sunlight.

Couple of Love Birds

I love the colors we chose to paint our apartment!
It feels like living in one of John's paintings...which would be a really nice place to live :)

Rearranged Kitchen Shelf

I rearranged our white kitchen shelf the other day. I was inspired to do this when John gave me the cutest set of vintage cheese-themed dessert plates and I was excited to put them on display. At the very top I hung my Annie and Sandy plate that my Uncle Sandy gave me for Christmas in 1982. It had still been packed since my move from Texas, so it was nice to have it out on display again.

This is the shelf before...

...and after!

Flowers from John

Here are the flowers that John has brought home over the last few weeks. I have the sweetest fiance in the world!

Green Apple Room

The Green Apple room was our final room to paint and we love it! The new white desk looks really pretty against the green.

Christmas Tree

Our first Christmas tree in New York...
...and some of our favorite ornaments.
These ornaments pretty much sum up two of our favorite things...shoes and cheeseburgers.
I made snowflakes for fun this year which I think look really nice against our peach walls.

I had fun taking pictures of the tree's reflection in the mirror.

I used some of the snowflakes as doilies for the beautiful red carnations John brought home and a candle. The snowflakes make an interesting reflection.

"New" Antique Desk

John gave me this awesome antique desk for Christmas which I love! I now have a workspace other than the kitchen table.

Here is the desk in its original state...

...and after I painted it white.
John also gave me these beautiful drawer pulls as part of my present.
Thank you sweetie for the best desk ever!!!
